It's really hard to accept

that my disability might, at times, be taken for my personality.

From Cripchick's blog: "how come so much of our interactions with each other are done in a social work-y way? why do you think this is a program?"

I read a quote one time from that guy from Grey's Anatomy who came out of the closet one way or the other and who said, "I would hope it's not the most interesting thing about me." But we like to let differences define each other, even if we each define differences differently.
