At least once a day, when I hand the student doctor a patient toothbrush, I'll hear, "Um, can I get one that's not pink? It's for a boy."

Any suggestions for a witty comeback are welcome.

Also, last night I said to Rafael, "Every night, while you are sleeping, you roll around while holding onto the covers. You need to work on this."

Neither of us could contain our laughter.

I kept having dreams about working in NYU Dental Supply. Even while sleeping, I remember thinking that I should dream about something else, since I had to get up and go to work in the morning.

Suggestion Numero Uno: Get two comforters. Decreased intimacy, but increased warmth.

"'At one point pink was considered more of a boy's color, (as a
watered-down red, which is a fierce color) and blue was more for
girls. The associate of pink with bold, dramatic red clearly affected
its use for boys. An American newspaper in 1914 advised mothers, 'If
you like the color note on the little one's garments, use pink for the
boy and blue for the girl, if you are a follower of convention.' [The
Sunday Sentinal, March 29, 1914.]"

That's not a witty response, but I thought it was interesting.

Listen, my dear. Are you in the city for work during the week? I'm thinking we might be able to grab a breakfast on Monday and follow it up with a late dinner that evening. Although I am dying, DYING, to see some live music there. Thoughts? I should just call you. Maybe tonight.
